LifeCycle Barcoded Forms enables the publishing of 2D barcode-enabled forms on the web, e-mail or CD using the Adobe PDF PDF417 (Portable Data File 417) barcode format. End users complete forms digitally using the free, cross-platform Adobe Reader software and submit them electronically by fax or e-mail. The barcode is represented on the form and can be scanned to capture user-supplied data. The data will be completely accurate and will not produce false positives. Support is provided for electronic and paper workflows in a unified environment (Adobe Intelligent Document Platform). Data are encoded in XML or other user-defined formats and provided to a workflow engine or directly to core systems. It works with most standard scanning devices including 2D barcode-capable hand held devices and larger document scanners.
