License
Single User License: Installation of the program purchased under a single user license is restricted to one single personal computer owned by or under control of the licensee plus one additional computer also owned by the licensee. However, at any given time only one copy of ATLAS.ti may be in use.
In typical training sessions, more than one copy of the program is used concurrently. This is NOT covered under the single user license; you must purchase a multi user license for such applications.
Educational Discounts
All single user licenses may be obtained at a significant discount to educational institutions and their employees.

The Multi-User License (Concurrent Use License) permits installation (full server, plus lightweight client installation) and concurrent use of the program on multiple PCs of the license holder and/or multiple work stations of a Local Area Network, up to the amount covered by the license.

Purchasing a license involves a single one-time payment which grants unlimited use of the software. Support and updates (service packs) are included in the purchase price. Upgrades to newer program versions (if and when they become available) must be purchased separately.
Educational licenses
Only officially accredited EDUCATIONAL institutions are eligible to obtain ATLAS.ti educational licenses. This status requires accreditation on the part of a nationally recognized accrediting agency. This includes: universities (including distance and continuing education programs), colleges, junior colleges, scientific and technical schools, vocational schools, and correspondence schools.
